Faculty Talk: Andrew Wasserman photo

Pixar films, a new exhibition on African art, and family photographs are just some of the research topics UNCG art history professors pursue outside the classroom. Add a little learning to your lunch hour and come enjoy these informal talks on these exciting projects. Free. Location: Dillard Room.

"Bang! We're All Dead: The Places of Nuclear Fear in 1980s America"

This talk surveys works of art created in support of the antinuclear movement in the final decade of the Cold War. With species and planetary survival on the line, artists and designers took to the galleries and streets to oppose national military and energy policies.

Held in conjunction with the 2017 UNCG Faculty Biennial exhibition on view Sept 2-Dec 3, 2017.
